Katja
Introducing our pride and joy: the Nautitec Open 40 catamaran “Katja”. Built in 2016, she was transferred from La Rochelle, France, to the Ionian Sea in her first year. In the caring hands of Sail Ionian, she has been available for charter since then. With four spacious double cabins, two powerful engines, and more space in the lounge and deck saloon than you could wish for, she is the perfect boat to explore the Ionian in the most comfortable way.
James and Claudi
When two adventurous spirits with a thirst for traveling off the beaten track, food and activities in nature meet, interesting ideas are bound to come up. One of these ideas came in 2018 and quickly grew from a “Schnapsidee” to a fully fleshed-out business plan. Thus, Sailfin Charters was born. Over the years, we finalized our training in sailing and diving to meet the high standards for professional work in this industry.

The Ionian Sea
On our travels in the Ionian Sea we have picked up a few great experiences. Find out more about our secret tips for the Ionian Sea.
Lefkada
A must-visit for us is the Lighthouse Tavern in Lefkas town on the island of Lefkada. The whole family provides customers with delicious home-made food and charming service.
Meganisi
The small island of Meganissi has a couple of nice little marinas, but our favourite is Spartachori where we like to climb to the old city centre to enjoy the great view over the central Ionian Sea.
Kalamos
The tiny village on Kalamos has an even tinier marina, but also has the best taverna for Claudi’s favourite Greek dish: Fava Beans.
Kefalonia
Every visitor in the southern Ionian has to visit Kefalonia at least once. If there’s little time, make sure you take a stroll through Fiskardo in the north of the island and grab a snack or coffee at the village pier to watch the old classic: Hafenkino – harbour cinema.
